32-slice configuration on the Toshiba TSX-101A chassis. An intermediate tier between the 16-slice and 64-slice Aquilion configurations of the same era, sharing the MegaCool X-ray tube, Quantum Detector, 72 cm gantry aperture, and host software. Aquilion 32 was less broadly deployed than the 16-slice and 64-slice configurations; in the secondary market it appears as a mid-tier alternative to the more common Aquilion 16 and Aquilion 64.

Mid-tier hospital CT — routine diagnostic CT at broader Z-axis coverage than 16-slice.
Faster whole-body protocols than Aquilion 16 at a lower capital tier than Aquilion 64.
Limited secondary-market inventory — Aquilion 32 is less common than Aquilion 16 and 64; most sites specified either the 16 (economy) or 64 (cardiac-capable) tier directly.
