Philips Allura Clarity FD20
Family: Allura Xper · Modality: Interventional X-Ray
FD20 platform with the ClarityIQ image-processing pipeline layered in. Delivers 43–83% dose reduction vs an Xper-only FD20 while maintaining equivalent image quality. Typically shipped on late-generation Allura systems before the Azurion successor carried ClarityIQ forward.
A "Clarity" label on a used Allura signifies the dose-reduction license + imaging-chain bundle — not a hardware geometry difference vs FD20. The Clarity upgrade is licensing + software, but it's clinically meaningful and market-separable, so it's its own System Card.
Variant-specific considerations
- ClarityIQ license status is the defining acceptance-test item
- Hardware otherwise identical to FD20
- Meaningful radiation-safety posture improvement — relevant to dose-committee scrutiny and ALARA docs
- Azurion HE is the direct successor path (ClarityIQ built in)
