Dentsply Sirona Galileos
Modality: Dental Cone-Beam CT
Sirona's premium dedicated dental CBCT platform, predecessor / sibling to the Orthophos line. Distinct from Orthophos in being primarily 3D-focused (rather than 3-in-1 pan / ceph / CBCT). Galileos Comfort and Galileos Comfort Plus are the dominant variants in the global installed base. Large-FOV (15×15 cm class) made it the orthognathic / oral-surgery workhorse through the 2010s. Succeeded in current-generation production by Axeos consolidation.

Refurb posture
- Mature installed base — refurb supply is stable as practices upgrade to Axeos / current generation.
- Software-version status is the price-determining variable; outdated Sidexis / Galaxis constrains planning workflow.
- DICOM-export hygiene is workable but not as clean as later Axeos generation.
