One of the two dominant global dental imaging + equipment manufacturers (alongside Planmeca). Dentsply + Sirona merger in 2016 combined the world's largest dental consumables maker (Dentsply — crowns, implants, endodontic instruments) with Sirona's dental imaging + CAD/CAM.

- 1877 — Reiniger, Gebbert & Schall founded — original Siemens-lineage imaging company. Later becomes Sirona.
- 1997 — Siemens spins off its dental division → Sirona Dental Systems.
- 2016 — Dentsply + Sirona merge to form Dentsply Sirona (NASDAQ: XRAY).
