Hitachi Scenaria
Modality: CT
Hitachi's mid-to-premium 64-slice / 128-slice CT with 75 cm wide bore — distinctive among general-purpose CT for its extra-wide bore aperture. Targets oncology simulation, bariatric imaging, and trauma populations where standard 70 cm bore is constraining. Acquired by Fujifilm in 2021 and continues under Fujifilm Healthcare branding.
Distinctive technology
- 75 cm wide bore — among the wider clinical CT bores; narrower than dedicated oncology-simulation CT (Aquilion LB at 90 cm) but wider than standard 70 cm.
- Lateral patient shift — the Scenaria gantry can be laterally offset along the bore axis, enabling more flexible patient positioning for off-center anatomy.
- CardioGraph cardiac CT package on configured units.
- iDose-equivalent iterative reconstruction (Hitachi-specific implementation).
Variants
- Scenaria — base 64-slice configuration.
- Scenaria View — extended configuration with workflow / imaging refinements.
Refurb posture
- Niche refurb category — wide-bore CT specifically; competes with Aquilion LB and Siemens SOMATOM Open in the simulation / bariatric segment.
- Tube hours / scan count drive the price-determining variable.
- Software / iterative-recon licensing affects clinical capability tier.
- Service-network depth outside Asia-Pacific is a refurb consideration.
