GE OEC 9900 Elite Standard 9"
Family: OEC 9900 Elite · Modality: C-Arm (Mobile Fluoroscopy)
Direct successor to the OEC 9800 Standard 9" — the most-shipped 9900 Elite configuration and the reference configuration for general surgery, pain management, orthopedic, and urology workflows. 9-inch tri-mode image intensifier (9 / 6 / 4.5") on the standard arc geometry.
What's different from the 9800 Standard 9"
- Higher-DQE imaging chain — ~30% dose reduction at equivalent image quality on standard pain / ortho protocols.
- Touchscreen + modernized workstation — faster annotation, better DICOM workflow, larger local storage.
- Tube and generator parts are often cross-compatible with the 9800 Standard 9"; imaging-chain components typically are NOT. Verify before ordering.
Where it fits clinically
The workhorse configuration for facilities that don't need a larger FOV (Standard 12") or deeper arc (Super-C). Cardiac software packages pair with 9" II on this variant, so some cardiology-adjacent centers pick this over the 12". Ortho, pain management, and general surgery use it almost interchangeably with the 9800 Standard 9" — same foot switch, same orbital-lock feel.
Variant-specific parts
- 9" image intensifier (tri-mode, this variant)
- 9900-era filament driver board (updated revision vs 9800's 00-8797220-5)
- 9900-era SBC / host CPU
Shared parts
Most boards, cables, generator, tube family, and wheels/brakes match the 9900 Elite family catalog.
