GE Logiq E9
Manufacturer: GE HealthCare · Modality: Ultrasound
Premium radiology ultrasound cart that anchored GE's lineup for most of the 2010s. Direct competitor to the Philips iU22 in the shared-service ultrasound segment — one cart handles abdominal, OB, vascular, MSK, cardiac (with appropriate probes), and emerging applications like elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
What sets Logiq E9 apart
- TruScan architecture — raw-data capture + re-processing workflow (late revisions)
- Volume Navigation — fuses real-time ultrasound with prior CT/MRI for image-guided intervention
- Scan Assistant — protocol-driven automated workflow
- Broad probe portfolio — curved, linear, phased, matrix (4D), endocavity
Specs
- Cart-based · 4 active probe ports
- Modes: 2D / M-mode / Color/Power Doppler / PW / CW / Harmonic / Elastography
- Application licenses: General / Cardiac / OB / Vascular / Contrast / Elasto / MSK
- Large-format monitor (19–21")
Clinical positioning
Workhorse radiology ultrasound. Stronger in vascular + interventional workflows than iU22 for centers that use Volume Navigation; roughly interchangeable in general radiology. Many sites run mixed fleets of both.
Service reality
Probes are the cost center — same story as iU22. GE probe refurbishment ecosystem is well-developed. Late-generation Logiq E9 hardware supports most current probes, so cross-compatibility across E9 revisions is good.
