Philips's family of high-output rotating-anode X-ray tubes used in cath-lab and interventional systems. The dominant tube class on the Allura Xper family. The successor-generation high-power tube on Azurion is the GIGALIX MRC class.
Why it matters to buyers: Dominant tube class on Allura Xper installed base. Tube-replacement lead times are weeks — sites without a parts agreement can sit non-clinical waiting for tube delivery.
Why it matters to engineers: Duty cycle in cath / cardiology is harsher than diagnostic radiography — budget shorter tube life vs general fluoroscopy. Cardiac and peripheral programs running long-fluoro cases burn tubes faster than DSA-light sites.
