AiCE
Canon Medical's Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine — deep-learning CT reconstruction. Successor to the iterative-reconstruction-era AIDR 3D. AiCE uses a convolutional neural network trained on high-quality reference images to reconstruct diagnostic-quality images from lower-dose acquisitions, delivering dose reduction and image-quality improvements beyond what iterative reconstruction alone can achieve.
Why it matters to buyers: AiCE is the current reconstruction standard on Canon Aquilion Prime / Lightning / Serve and the Aquilion ONE Genesis / PRISM platforms. A Canon Aquilion system without AiCE licensing is running prior-generation reconstruction; AiCE is a meaningful capability differentiator.
Why it matters to engineers: AiCE is deep-learning inference running on dedicated reconstruction hardware. Reconstruction-time performance and GPU health are part of AiCE-capable system commissioning and periodic QC.
