Toshiba Infinix-i 4DCT
Family: Infinix · Manufacturer: Toshiba Medical · Modality: Interventional X-ray
Toshiba's hybrid CT-angio room — an Infinix-i biplane interventional system co-located in a dedicated room with an Aquilion ONE (or Aquilion Prime) CT scanner sharing the patient table. Designed for stroke intervention, complex vascular surgery, structural cardiac, and trauma workflows where pre-procedural CT and intra-procedural angio happen on the same patient without transfer. Competes with Siemens Artis Pheno hybrid and Philips Allura hybrid configurations.
Architecture
- Infinix-i ceiling-mounted C-arm (mono- or biplane configuration)
- Aquilion ONE or Aquilion Prime CT scanner on rails
- Shared patient table that translates between the two modalities
- Integrated console / image-fusion workstation
- Dedicated room build-out (electrical, shielding, HVAC, anesthesia, nursing)
Clinical positioning
- Comprehensive stroke center — gold-standard hybrid suite for endovascular thrombectomy with intra-procedural CT perfusion / angio.
- Advanced cardiac structural — TAVR, mitral repair, EP procedures with CT-guided overlay.
- Trauma / hybrid OR — combined imaging + surgical workflows.
Refurb / install notes
- Niche, almost never seen on the secondary market intact. Refurb activity is primarily on the Infinix-i C-arm and the Aquilion ONE separately; the room build-out is custom per site.
- Licensing — image-fusion and table-translation software licenses are critical to the workflow; verify entitlement before purchase.
- Service — multi-vendor service rare; OEM service contract typical.
