Built around the Vega HP gradient set and Compressed SENSE acceleration, Elition is Philips' answer to research-class 3 T clinical work while retaining the Ingenia family's 70 cm bore and dStream digital receive chain. Shipped as Elition X (premium) and Elition S (standard).

  • Vega HP gradient — 45 mT/m amplitude / 220 T/m/s slew per axis. Higher slew vs standard Ingenia 3T gradients enables faster diffusion, shorter TE / TR, and sharper EPI.
  • Compressed SENSE — combines compressed sensing with SENSE parallel imaging for up to ~50% acceleration on both 2D and 3D sequences at matched image quality. Foundation for many of the speed / resolution claims on Elition.
  • SmartSpeed (on current revisions) — DL reconstruction that pairs with Compressed SENSE for further acceleration.
  • dStream digital receive — digitization at the coil, reducing analog losses across long cable runs.
  • VitalEye — ceiling-mounted camera detects respiratory motion and patient breathing without a belt for many body protocols.
