Curved-array abdominal / general-imaging transducer with PureWave single-crystal technology. One of the most-used probes on any iU22 — it rarely leaves the first port.

Diagnosis

• "Probe not recognized" → swap ports first (connector wear)
• Image dropout bands → crystal or element failure, needs refurb
• Cable sheath cracked → fix before it becomes a biohazard problem

Refurb vs replace

C5-1 refurbishment through third-party specialists is typically a 1–2 week turnaround and substantially cheaper than new-probe replacement. Almost always worth refurbishing on the first failure.
