Spectrum Dynamics VERITON-CT
Modality: Nuclear Medicine / SPECT
Spectrum Dynamics' general-purpose 360° CZT SPECT / CT — extends the D-SPECT cardiac-CZT technology to whole-body nuclear-medicine imaging. Distinguishing geometry: 12 independent CZT detector columns rotating in a 360° gantry, simultaneously acquiring across the whole field of view rather than the conventional dual-head Anger-camera approach. Sibling to D-SPECT in the Spectrum Dynamics CZT product family but addresses the full SPECT / SPECT-CT market.
Distinctive technology
- 12 independent CZT detector columns — parallel acquisition geometry; no conventional rotating dual-head gantry.
- CZT solid-state detection — tighter energy resolution and higher count-rate ceiling than NaI(Tl) Anger cameras.
- Whole-body 3D-OSEM reconstruction — quantitative SPECT optimized for theranostic Lu-177 / I-131 dosimetry and bone / oncology imaging.
- Integrated CT for attenuation correction and anatomic localization.
- Quantitative SPECT / theranostic — dosimetry-grade quantification on configured units.
Clinical use
- Bone scan / oncology SPECT — Tc-99m MDP, Lu-177 / I-131 / Y-90 follow-up imaging.
- Whole-body theranostic dosimetry — Lu-177 PSMA and DOTATATE quantification.
- General-purpose nuclear medicine — thyroid, parathyroid, renal, hepatobiliary, V/Q.
Refurb posture
- Smaller refurb supply than mainstream Anger-camera SPECT.
- Service-network depth is a refurb consideration — fewer aftermarket service options than Big Three NM platforms.
- CZT detector age is a long-term concern; refurb buyers track explicitly.
