Optovue Solix
Modality: Ophthalmic OCT
Optovue / Visionix's current-generation multi-modal retinal imaging platform — combines spectral-domain OCT, OCT-Angiography, and color fundus imaging in a single device. Successor / sibling to the Avanti / AngioVue platform that established Optovue's clinical OCT-A presence.
Distinctive technology
- Spectral-domain OCT + OCT-A — Optovue's SSADA (Split-Spectrum Amplitude-Decorrelation Angiography) reconstruction.
- Integrated color fundus — paired fundus + OCT-A acquisition.
- HD scan modes — high-density retinal scans for detailed structural analysis.
- Wide-field OCT-A — extended-FOV vascular imaging.
- AngioAnalytics — quantitative vascular metrics (vessel density, flow area).
Clinical use
- Retinal disease — AMD, diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusions, choroidal disease.
- OCT angiography — clinical OCT-A is Optovue's historical strength; SSADA is the canonical OCT-A reconstruction technique.
- Glaucoma — RNFL + GCL analysis.
Refurb posture
- Smaller refurb supply than Zeiss / Heidelberg / Topcon platforms.
- OCT-A + AngioAnalytics licensing drives clinical capability.
- Visionix-era service continuity is a refurb consideration post-2021 acquisition.
