IBA Proteus ONE
Modality: Proton Therapy
Single-room compact proton therapy system — one cyclotron, one gantry, one treatment room. Proteus ONE is pitched as the economically viable proton solution for mid-sized hospital systems that cannot justify a multi-room center. Uses IBA's S2C2 superconducting synchrocyclotron instead of the full-sized C235 cyclotron used in Proteus PLUS.
Variant-specific considerations
- Compact superconducting synchrocyclotron (S2C2)
- Single rotating gantry + compact beam line
- Pencil Beam Scanning standard
- Smaller footprint than Proteus PLUS but capacity limited to one treatment room
