"MD" (Multi-Diagnostic) variant of the 9800 mobile C-arm — the standard OEC 9800 for hospital general-surgery and orthopedic use. Image-intensifier (not flat-panel) image chain. Massive US install base; long service life. Displaced in new orders by the OEC Elite flat-panel platform but the 9800 MD remains the most common C-arm in US operating rooms.
