GE Innova 2100-IQ
Family: GE Innova · Modality: Interventional X-Ray
Single-plane cardiac cath lab. 21 × 21 cm flat-panel detector. GE's direct competitor to the Philips Allura Xper FD10 and Siemens Artis Q in the cardiac interventional space. Deployed widely across cardiac cath labs through the 2000s and 2010s.
Specs
- 21 × 21 cm flat-panel detector (cardiac-optimized size)
- Ceiling-suspended gantry + cardiac table (OmegaV or similar)
- Advanced Applications — AutoRight (dose reduction), BriteCode, StentViz
- Hemodynamics integration via Mac-Lab
Clinical positioning
Workhorse cardiac cath. Diagnostic angiography + PCI + structural heart adjacent (not a dedicated TAVR room typically). Cardiology-focused cath labs picked Innova 2100 for its cardiac-optimized detector size and tuned imaging chain.
Dose-reduction generation
Post-2012 Innova generations (IQ branding) introduced AutoRight automated acquisition optimization — GE's dose-reduction pipeline. Not directly equivalent to Philips ClarityIQ but targets the same outcome (lower dose at equivalent image quality).
Successor path
GE's newer IGS (Image Guided Systems) platform replaces Innova in current OEM lineups. Refurb market still has large Innova population.
