Performix Pro VCT 100 X-Ray Tube

The dominant cost center on the VCT. 100 kW-class tube with 8.0 MHU anode heat capacity. Replacement is the most consequential service event on the scanner's lifetime.

Fits

Diagnosis

  • Tube scan counter + hours → the closest thing to a ground-truth wear indicator
  • Arcing / dose output drift → acceptance testing will catch it first
  • Anode bearing noise (audible) → end-of-life warning

Replacement

Not a field repair — plan the outage. Lead times can be weeks. Acceptance testing is mandatory post-swap.
