rotation time

Time for one full gantry rotation in a CT scanner. Typical range: 0.35 sec (fast, cardiac) to 2.0 sec (slow, low-dose pediatric).

Why it matters to buyers: Fast rotation (0.35 sec) is required for cardiac gating. Also drives temporal resolution in moving anatomy.

Why it matters to engineers: Mechanical limit of the gantry. VCT standard is 0.4–0.5 sec; XT upgrades to 0.35 standard.
