Pianissimo
Canon Medical (legacy Toshiba) Pianissimo Noise Reduction — the MRI gradient acoustic-noise-reduction technology that shipped on the Excelart Vantage and Vantage Titan platforms and carried into current Canon Vantage Galan / Vantage Elan generations. The gradient coils are enclosed in a vacuum chamber that materially reduces acoustic transmission into the scan room.
Why it matters to buyers: Pianissimo is a recognized Toshiba / Canon feature favored in pediatric, anxious-patient, and neuroimaging workflows where acoustic noise exposure matters. On Vantage Titan, acoustic output is substantially lower than competing 1.5 T platforms on comparable sequences.
Why it matters to engineers: Pianissimo adds a vacuum-seal maintenance item to the gradient subsystem. Vacuum integrity and pump health are Pianissimo-specific service items beyond a conventional gradient-coil platform.
